Flora and Fauna:
Highly differentiated in respect of the altitude: cultivated zones, vineyards, olive grove; Mediterranean pine, cypresses , larch, sylvan pine, oaks, maples, manna ashes, chestnut, junipers and beeches.
On the verge of the rocks along the path it is possible to see snowdrops, anemones, cyclamens, rock roses, thymes and other herbs, dog roses, brooms, etc.
Environments of high biodiversity for the presence of mammals (wild boars, wild cat and Matese wolf, fox, badgers, stone martens, weasels), birds (buzzards, red kites, kestrels, owls and barn owls, owlets, crows, sparrows, ringdoves) and reptiles (vipers, colubers, slowworms)
